"Mr. Indy 500 Gala"
The Masters Television crew was on hand to capture the "Mr. Indy 500 Gala" an evening
to honor Andy Granatelli. Granatelli has an impressive resume of accomplishments in
the world of auto racing. The tribute was held in Auburn, IN, at the Kruse Museums, which
will serve as the location for the Andy Granatelli Hall of Fame Museum. The evening drew
motorsports icons, Richard Petty, National Speed Sport News Editor Chris Economaki,
Bobby and Al Unser, Gordon Johncock, Parnelli Jones and a host of racing fans.
Granatelli and Petty were responsible for the longest standing sponsorship in auto
racing, the STP sponsorship of Petty Racing. Look for coverage of this star studded event
on The Outdoor Channel's "Motor Mania" program.
