BIDDING WARS RETURNING FOR SECOND SEASON
Bidding Wars, the highest rated program in the ESPN Garage Block will return for it’s second
season on ESPN2 during the second and third quarter of 2008. This thirteen (13) week series will
highlight the intense, behind the scenes “Bidding Action”, which took place at the 37th Annual
Auburn (IN) Kruse Fall Collector Car Auction, the largest and oldest vintage car auction event in
the world.
Bidding Wars takes a look at the people who participate in the collector car auctions. From ring
men to the bidders, from the auctioneers to the grinders, Bidding Wars captures the quick paced
action as “titles change hands in a matter of minutes” in some very hotly contested auctions.
Noted motorsports reporter and driver, Stephen Cox will be your host for the television series, and
Genevieve Chappell and Griff Allen will provide ringside reporting, interviews and commentary.
Some of the most valuable vehicles in the world will cross the block during each episode of
Bidding Wars. Run by renowned auction house Kruse International, hundreds of cars will sell for
millions of dollars, with over 5,000 cars being viewed by the 150,000 spectators attending the 480-
acre auction grounds. Classics, exotics, muscle cars and hot rods will compete for attention
against incredibly rare, one-off cars; there’s virtually a guarantee of something for everyone.
