2008 MASTERS AUTO EXPO RETURNS TO RADFORD
(Bristol, TN)—The 2008 Masters Auto Expo, presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts, will be held at the Motor Mile Speedway and
Dragway, in Radford, VA, and will run Friday, July 4 and Saturday July, 5, 2008. This event will feature a custom automotive
awards program and the nitro-charged racing of the Flowmaster American Drag Racing League. The daily event schedule
and registration information will be released at a later date.
“We are planning to make the event schedule more flexible so that car owners, fans and the ADRL racers have an
opportunity to experience all aspects of the event” stated Masters Entertainment Group President Ted Jones. “There is so
much to see and do during this two day event; we want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to experience the car
show and the exciting drag racing action.”
“We are continuing to build this event and with the continued support shown by O’Reilly Auto Parts, (Springfield, MO), this
years event will feature more enhancements and will be bigger and better than ever” stated Butch McCall, Executive Vice
President/General Manger of Masters Entertainment Group.
There will be eight classes of car show competition with the Grand Champion in each class taking home $1,000 cash,
awards and television feature on their winning ride. The eight classes are: Newer Rides, Trucks, Wild Custom, Street Rods,
Pro Street/Race, Mild Custom, Modified Stock and Stock Restored. The top four finalists in each class will receive a trophy
and a television interview.
The Flowmaster ADRL series features the high-horsepower excitement of the Outlaw Pro Mods and the Pro Extreme
Motorcycles. Friday, July 4, will feature pro practice runs during the day and a Qualifying Round that evening.
On Saturday, July 5, a Pro Qualifying session will be held in the early afternoon, with the first round of Pro Eliminations and
the Final Pro Eliminations taking place later on Saturday.
