Inside Drag Racing Begins 16th Year

The highly successful drag racing TV magazine show starts its 16th ;year of television April 4,
2010.  The program covers drag racing events other than the usual NHRA and IHRA National
events.  Inside Drag Racing has received multiple broadcasting awards, and was originally hosted
by Ted Jones for 12 years.  In 2006 Jones headed for semi-retirement and Doc Riley was hired as
the new host, with Jones making only occasional appearances.  Now as Jones heads for full time
retirement,  Drag Racer Kathy Fisher has taken his place as part-time host, with Riley hosting most
of the episodes.  

In addition to covering unusual events, IDR as it is now known to its many fans also cover the SEMA
and PRI shows revealing new products for the drag racer.  IDR also has offered the viewer “shop
tours” through such interesting plants as Sonny’s Racing Engines, Wilson Manifolds,  TCI
Transmissions, Competiton Cams, and many more.
The programs all air Sundays at 11:30a.m. nationwide on Fox Sports Net and can also be replayed
