Masters Adds to Marketing Staff
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jan 15, 2009
Legendary automotive icon Dave Bowman joins the Masters team as part of their new
marketing push, perhaps even returning in front of the camera after a long hiatus.

A pioneer in cable TV automotive programming and advertising, Bowman is noted for
creating, producing and co-starring in the landmark “Shade Tree Mechanic,” followed by
“Crank & Chrome” for The Nashville Network (TNN) and “Two Guys Garage” for SPEED. After
also creating “Hi Rev Tuners” and “Truck Universe” for SPEED, Dave moved completely into
marketing with Dave Bowman Enterprises, a firm designed to enable “small companies to
experience television advertising to their targeted audience…at low risk and cost.”

As of January ‘09, Bowman brings his considerable talents to Masters TV, as the Bristol, TN-
based production company tools up new programming for Fox Sports Network (FSN). Since
developing and selling cable TV‘s first automotive ‘how-to‘ program 17 years ago, Dave
Bowman moves as easily through the world of marketing as he did on camera.

Masters’ executive officers Ted Jones and Butch McCall have known Bowman a long time and
appreciate the sterling reputation he‘s built within the industry. “Dave is one of the most
knowledgeable and well-connected guys when it comes to cars and performance,” notes
Jones. Adds McCall, head of Masters‘ marketing division, “I have known and respected Dave
for many years as I constantly encountered him making sales calls on many of the same
automotive clients I worked with. Now he joins the Masters marketing team, and I am
delighted to have a man of his character on board.”

And the excitement at Masters must be catching. An avid boating enthusiast, Bowman
couldn’t help but become involved with Masters’ “Pleasure Boater,” which airs on the Versus
and Sun Sports networks.  Plans are also in the works for him to possibly return to the
airwaves to host a show from Illusion Custom Rods, one of the leading custom shops in the
country. It’s been a long absence Dave, and we’ve sure missed ’ya.
